Standards development - Reporting Standards Groups
The Reporting Standards are the industry agreed rules to which ABC data is prepared and reported.
The standards are agreed by the industry, for the industry. Each media sector has its own Reporting Standards Group (RSG) drawn from media owners and agencies who work together to agree those standards.
The Reporting Standards Groups adhere to the following objectives:
To discuss, advise and approve clarifications and changes to ABC Reporting Standards. The ABC Board has final oversight of the Reporting Standards.
To consider and recommend action on strategic issues relating to their sector.
To be kept informed and consulted on our sales and marketing plans for the sector.
To be kept informed of and consulted on the training and audit or inspection programs for the sector.
The members of the Reporting Standards Groups are approved by the ABC Board and represent the wider membership in the development of the Reporting Standards. As an ABC member, if you have any issue or request about these standards, you may ask the relevant RSG to consider it. You can do this by sending your request to ABC, via your Account Manager or Standards department, or via any of the RSG members whose details are listed.
